OPEN DAY: WELL-BEING AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Posted on 09/14/2015On Wednesday 22 October, Evry private hospital opened its doors to the public, patients and healthcare professionals as part of the week dedicated to well-being and sustainable development. To mark the occasion, a steering committee was formed to set up the project.
The event included a day to raise awareness of the toxic molecules present in our environment and consumer products: " endocrine disruptors ". On the day, our health professionals had the task of informing and advising the public on the various precautions that can easily be adopted on a daily basis to avoid the harmful effects of these molecules, by taking part in our fun workshops and our public lecture given by our sustainable development consultant, Olivier Toma.
The public who attended the workshops afterwards were particularly attentive to the theme of the day, and sensitive to the advice and explanations of all our experts.
Focus on the day
Our establishment had the pleasure of welcoming the mayor of Evry, Francis Chouat, and his chief of staff, Jean-Noël Cifoni, for our social and environmental report. They were able to appreciate our approach to sustainable development, which we have been working on for five years now. As a result, we hope to be able to work more closely with the town of Evry over the long term.
During the day, we also made room for a number of patients from the rehabilitation centre who wanted to play an active role. The idea was to raise awareness of the issue of disability among the general public and all the staff at our establishment, in the form of a tour and a theatrical performance.
Some key figures
61 kilos of fruit and vegetables donated by our partner, SODEXO, were distributed to the public, patients and staff of the Evry private hospital.
Over the course of the afternoon, we collected more than 21 kilos of out-of-date medicines, which we donated to CYCLAMED the following day.
